HISTORY
Castle of Puxe is a historic jewel nestled in Lorraine, whose origins date back to the 17th century. Built and inhabited by great Lorraine families, it first belonged to the La Tour family, then to the Saintignon family until the French Revolution. After this tumultuous period, the château passed through the hands of several illustrious owners, including the Gaudin, Lardemelle, Solvay, Lahaye and Aubertin families, each leaving their mark on this exceptional estate. In 1949, the château became the property of the Nancy diocese, which entrusted its management to Abbé Albert Choné. For over 50 years, Château de Puxe welcomed thousands of visitors for summer camps, spiritual retreats, banquets and family reunions, becoming a place for living and sharing in the heart of Lorraine. In 2002, a new era began with the creation of the SARL “Le Château de Puxe”, made up of members and friends of the Choné family. Since then, restoration work has restored the château to its former splendor, while preserving its historic soul. Today, Château de Puxe is a place of remembrance, a haven of peace and a must-see destination for those seeking to combine history, nature and elegance.
